  1. I love your blog! I am familiar with the Ontario area – I had a long-term live-in relationship with a native of Toronto from 1978 to 1987, and we used to spend the first two weeks every July in Pefferlaw, Ontario where his Dad had a home. Though I enjoyed touring the city of Toronto, Yorkville and Ontario Place, I particularly liked the lake country. His aunts, uncles and cousins all had cottages dating from post WWII on Lake Simcoe, and I have very fond memories of spending time at their cottages on the island, seeing the government “cutter” transporting all the visitors from “the mainland” (family always picked us up at the public dock in their family boats). A beautiful area, and one I am only so happy to revisit through your beautifully written blog! Thank you for liking my own blog, and reopening a happy part of my past! Can’t wait to read more!

  2. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I came here to visit and really like your story. I love the pictures of the cottage and am excited to see how it evolves and changes. What a wonderful adventure! Best wishes for the most wonderful year yet!

  3. A beautiful story with many ups and downs during your journey but I see you have come out stronger for it. I love your stories. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful words with everyone. You and your husband I feel will share many years in the cabin. I believe the fact that you took a cabin and are turning it into a home is awesomeness.

  4. thank you for liking my blog. I enjoyed reading each of your pages and seeing those friendly faces of your “team”. I love the use of the term “cottage”, not that I don’t like the Love Shack; but I love the image of “cottage”, especially because it’s what I live in these days. My kids built me a “tiny house” but I call it my Cottage. one room. peaceful. It’s really special to get to know other people’s projects. I can’t get over all of your activities! For me, those days are gone. That’s why these blogs and other writers’ sites are special to me. Physically challenged but my mind still needs input to learn. Again, thank you for your interest. It was a very nice surprise for me. Keep up your great work!
